Our Story

Wellspring is a Gospel centered mercy ministry focused on the country of North Korea

Our Purpose is to bring glory to the name of Jesus Christ by demonstrating His love for the people of North Korea and to build a foundation for the work of the church in that country.

Jesus provided a model for the out-reach of His Church when He sent His disciples "to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick" Wellspring is a mercy mission, bringing desperately needed clean, pure water to the people of North Korea. There is no more effective medical ministry than the prevention of disease by the means. Waterborne pathogens are the greatest threat to public health in the world to today, particularly to the very young and the very old.

Since 2004, Wellspring has provided drilling rigs, trucks, supplies and training to equip North Koreans with the ability to drill their own wells. We regularly travel to North Korea to visit sites and resolve technical problems. While in country, Wellspring works with the people of rural communities, medical, and children's facilities openly as Christians. We have long-term relationships with government officials and with our drilling teams.
